Repetition Used in a Creative Way

In this project, I had to find and image and use repetition to create a pleasing design. I started out with a simple image of a sunflower and its stem, and then I separately repeated the stem and the flower to make the sunflower into a cool, multi-layered flower with stems coming out of it from all sides. To finish it off, I repeated the sunflower around the sides to frame the center flower. This project was entertaining because it was really easy but allowed a lot of room for creativity.

This project was the same as the previous recoloring project, but the image had to be a photograph from Ansel Adams, a black and white nature photographer. It was much easier to do than the previous project, because everything blended together and I didn't have to worry about getting the lines exactly right.

For this assignment I had to create a painting of my choice in Sketchbook Pro. As you can see, I did a painting of a witch and a cat. In all honesty, I actually didn't do this painting in Sketchbook Pro, I did it in Krita, which is a free art program I have on my computer at home. I did this at home with my own tablet because I was having trouble with the brushes lagging and the painting would have turned out terrible if I did it at school. Anyways, I hope you like it because it took longer than expected to do!

Contour/Collage Portrait

For this project, I had to take a picture of myself and fill up the space around my face with pictures and contour lines. After taking a picture of myself in photo booth, I decided to theme my border objects as representing the 4 seasons, each corner is a different season. After putting together the border, I used different colors to do contour lines on most of the objects, resulting in a cool-looking, quirky collage.
