Hybrid Creature

For this assignment, I had to create a hybrid creature by adding parts from various animals onto a base animal to create a new, hybrid animal. The "thing" that you see before you is a hybrid between a giraffe, bird, shark, butterfly, lion, and octopus. I guess that makes it a giraffbirtterflyliosharktopus. Or something like that.

It was much easier to do than the previous project, because everything blended together and I didn't have to worry about getting the lines exactly right.

For this assignment I had to create a painting of my choice in Sketchbook Pro. As you can see, I did a painting of a witch and a cat. In all honesty, I actually didn't do this painting in Sketchbook Pro, I did it in Krita, which is a free art program I have on my computer at home. I did this at home with my own tablet because I was having trouble with the brushes lagging and the painting would have turned out terrible if I did it at school. Anyways, I hope you like it because it took longer than expected to do!

Contour/Collage Portrait

For this project, I had to take a picture of myself and fill up the space around my face with pictures and contour lines. After taking a picture of myself in photo booth, I decided to theme my border objects as representing the 4 seasons, each corner is a different season. After putting together the border, I used different colors to do contour lines on most of the objects, resulting in a cool-looking, quirky collage.
