Kaleidoscope Project

For the Kaleidoscope project, I had to find a black and white zendoodle and color it in Photoshop. I chose a zendoodle of waves, and then used the paint bucket to fill in the spaces with color. This project was easy, but it was tedious as I had to fill in tiny spaces.

The image above was originally a black and white photo, that I used Photoshop to add color to. After changing a picture of macarons I took into a grayscale format, I used low opacity paints to layer colors onto the photo. This project took longer than I expected, because the photo I chose had a lot of crisp lines and colors.

Contour/Collage Portrait

For this project, I had to take a picture of myself and fill up the space around my face with pictures and contour lines. After taking a picture of myself in photo booth, I decided to theme my border objects as representing the 4 seasons, each corner is a different season. After putting together the border, I used different colors to do contour lines on most of the objects, resulting in a cool-looking, quirky collage.

Classical "Painted" Portrait

This "painting" that you can see above is actually not a painting at all! (I doubt I am good enough at art to create a painting of this beauty). It's actually a picture of my cousin Sage drinking a milkshake, and I put a filter on it to fool everyone. The filters I used to make the photo look painted were (I think) palette knife and underpainting. Overall, a very easy assignment but cool to look at nonetheless.
